About My Location

The Fox River has always been a place to go when in need of a get away from the “big city”.

Here at the Fox River, I’m trying to capture the feel for the small town atmosphere and bring to our ever increasingly busy lives a piece that can be taken with us, to remind us what nature and the beauty of the Fox River has to offer us.  Remembering nature is never too far away to extend its warm inviting hand and comfort you.

About the Artist

Born in Chicago, IL I grew up in the suburbs and Girl Scouting was a big part of my life.  Through scouting I learned at a very young age that nature plays a big part in our lives.  Camping and water activities played a major role in my young life.  My school teachers would often say “if only she could put her school work into art or music, she’d be a really good student”. “She likes to daydream, A Lot!” were words my parents heard; frequently – perhaps I was contemplating my future dreams.

Jewelry making was always foremost in my mind, ideas formed on the playground in grammar school, drawing in the margins of my notebooks and homework assignments, creating ear rings from paper clips as the ear piercing industry was just beginning to bloom, gave me solace that one day my dreams would come true.

Creative writing was an outlet my eighth grade teachers used as an introduction to High School. Having us write poems to our friends whom we would soon be leaving behind to enter into a new phase in our lives. These ideas lead me to new ventures.  I was allowed to voice my inner thoughts, allowing even more dreams to be welcomed and shared.

At our family property on the only original beach front along the Fox River, I was walking along contemplating my next step in my artistic career, when I looked down and realized that the answers were right in front of me.

Fox River Studio Goals

I believe there are many talented artists with the same goals as mine, to embrace nature, live life to the fullest and share our passion with the world.  GO GREEN means many things. Simply put, I would like to invite other artists from the area to join me in showcasing our talent! Spread the word that nature is here for us to share.  Watch for upcoming new additions, Tranquility Gardens, sculptures and other wonderful ideas I’ve been “day dreaming” about!
